Billboard announced the first week’s sales for the album “My Dear Melancholy” by The Weekend. The report shows 169,000 equivalent number of album sales in the very first week of the project’s release.

Not surprisingly, this means the biggest debut for an R&B release of an artist, since the album Starboy, which was released in the year 2016. One year earlier, 2015, he released another album named “Beauty Behind the Madness”, which is also a hit.

The numbers of the sales have around 68,000 is album sales in the traditional way while the remaining sales are through streaming and tracks.

What else, the fans can expect another album up the cuffs of the artist (Rumor has it!).
