In a shocking but factual declaration, the CEO of Adidas has claimed that 10% of all the Adidas products in Asia are fake. The CEO revealed this in an interview with CNBC.


He said: “In Asia, it is a problem, but that’s an overall market problem, where we believe that approximately up to 10% in certain categories are fakes, we are seeing that in brick and mortars and we are seeing that online. It continues to be a big problem for our industry.”

Though the counterfeit problem is plaguing the company, it has still managed to beat Nike in North America. It still remains to be seen how the company tackles with the menace of fake sneakers and other products in the Asian markets.
